Starting tomorrow and until Tuesday, rain is expected to return from the north of the country to the central Negev. This was updated by Dr. Amir Givati, director of the Meteorological Service, who explained that dozens of millimeters of rain will cause widespread flooding in the Negev, in Beer Sheva and its surroundings, in Ashkelon and its surroundings, in the Arava, in the Judean Desert, along the Dead Sea and in the Jordan Valley. The police announced that they are preparing for floods in the Negev streams, and several roads are expected to close: Road 90 from the northern Dead Sea to Eilat intermittently; Road 12 from Naot Smadar Junction to Eilat; Road 40 from Mitzpe Ramon-Tzihor Junction-Ketura; and Road 13 from Tzihor Junction to Menucha Junction. At the same time, heavy rains and flooding are expected in the Gush Dan area and central cities from noon until evening tomorrow.
