Former hostage Matan Angerst was invited to light the first Hanukkah candle at the National Library in Jerusalem, organized by veterans of the 7th Brigade to honor the publication of a book about the unit. At the event, he referenced the last hostage in Gaza, Staff Sergeant Ran Gouaili, saying: “I want to say that I am proud of this brigade that led during the war. I share in the grief of the families who lost their loved ones so that I could speak – we will not forget that we need to bring back the last hostage, Ran Gouaili.”
