Ontario Provincial Police say one person is dead after a two-vehicle collision in Kawartha Lakes Saturday morning.
In a post to social media, police said a cargo van and a car crashed on Highway 35.
The driver of the car, a 63-year-old from Lindsay, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the cargo van was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In a news release Saturday, police said the vehicles were each occupied by one person only.
Highway 35 was initially closed from Highway 7A to Ballyduff Road. The closure was extended southbound until Telecom Road Saturday afternoon, police said.
As of Saturday evening, roads have reopened.
