Skiers and snowboarders take note: Antoine Mountain has announced it will open for the season on Saturday, December 27.  The hill will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Mattawa’s Mason Ladoucuer, perhaps best known as part of The Unknown band, will be performing solo from 3 to 5 p.m.

As of this week, Antoine Mountain staff said the runs are ready to go. The Ottawa, Dambuster, Laurentian, and Kate Pace runs are all in prime form. As are the Bowl, Crib, and bunny hill routes.

Once opening day rolls around, Antoine Mountain will open throughout the season on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will remain open daily during Christmas break from Dec. 27 to Jan.4, and Family Day on Feb. 16. The hill will also open everyday during March Break from March 16 to March 20.

Keep in mind all dates are dependent on winter weather, so double check Antoine Mountain’s website before loading up the skis.
