Morgan Rogers continued his stunning Aston Villa form against West Ham United, but there are still rumours around his future.

Rogers scored a brace as Aston Villa came from behind to beat West Ham 3-2 at the London Stadium, moving within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal as a result.

The Hammers took a 2-1 lead into the break, with Mateus Fernandes and Jarrod Bowen finding the net either side of a Konstantinos Mavropanos own goal.

However, Unai Emery’s side came roaring back in the second half – Rogers firing home the equaliser from close range before grabbing the winner with a superb 25-yard strike into the top corner.

Morgan Rogers could reject offers to stay at Aston Villa

Rogers was heavily linked with a move away from Aston Villa over the summer, but his exit never materialised.

The rumours clearly had an impact though, as the England international started the season incredibly slowly.

After failing to come up with a single goal contribution in the first five Premier League games of the campaign, Rogers has now found the back of the net five times and grabbed three assists in his last 11 outings.

According to the Daily Mail, there are likely to be more offers for the 23-year-old next summer, especially if he performs well at the World Cup.

However, there is still no guarantee that Rogers will be looking for a move away, especially if Aston Villa can continue their good form.

Why Rogers must stay at Aston Villa

The likes of Chelsea and Tottenham were interested in Rogers last summer, and could well go back in for the midfielder at the end of this season.

If the England international wants to reach his full potential, though, then he would be far better staying with Aston Villa.

Under Emery, Rogers is the main man, and that gives him the freedom to flourish as well as put in match-winning performances.

A move to a ‘bigger’ side would come with more pressure and a brand-new environment, with no guarantee of success.

Rogers and Villa are moving forward together, at the same pace, and there is no reason to break up the relationship at this moment in time.
