Chief Inspector Yossi Amsalem, investigation and intelligence officer at the Shafit station in the Kedem district, confirmed in an interview with ynet studio that the parents of the ultra-Orthodox toddler found in a parking lot at the Qalandiya crossing near Ramallah have been located. “As we speak right now, I’ve been updated that his parents have been located. We have definite confirmation that these are the parents and they are on their way to our police station,” he said. “This is a very big mystery. He mainly speaks Yiddish which made it difficult to communicate with him. We brought in civilians who speak the language to help us talk to him but we didn’t really succeed. When the parents arrive, there will be more light on this story.”
