The Tel Aviv District Court rejected the appeal filed by police against the release of a sheikh from Jaffa who participated in a protest march over the assault on a pregnant woman in the city. Upon his arrest, he was suspected of “behavior that could disrupt public peace.” Ten other Jaffa residents who also participated in the march were arrested alongside him, with police claiming they chanted “with blood and fire we will redeem Jaffa.”
