Roads closed in Mansfield due to 'suspicious package'

A police cordon has been put in place in Mansfield while officers investigate a suspicious package.

Nottinghamshire Police said Carter Lane was closed between Skerry Hill and Rock Hill as a precaution.

The force added there was no threat to the public but roads in the vicinity had been cordoned off.

Officers have warned there will be disruption in the area for “some time” and thanked the public for being patient.
