A second man has been arrested in connection with what police believe may be linked homophobic attacks in a park.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail as investigations continue into a spate of attacks on men in Castle Park, Bristol, between 30 November and 5 December.
Avon and Somerset Police believe a fifth attack, in which a man in his 30s was assaulted at about 23:30 GMT on 5 December, is also linked. He required hospital treatment.
“Public safety remains a top priority and we want to reiterate there’s absolutely no place for hate crime in our city and we’ll relentlessly pursue those who perpetrate it,” said Det Supt Keith Smith.
