A woman in her 60s has died in a two-vehicle crash in Co Cork.
The crash occurred on the N25 near the Two Mile Inn between Midleton and Youghal at around 6.15pm this evening.
The woman’s body has been removed from the scene.
A man in his 60s has been taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be serious, gardaà said.
The woman and man were travelling in the same vehicle and no other injuries have been reported.
The road where the crash occurred is expected to remain closed overnight and into tomorrow morning with local diversions in place.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, specifically any road users travelling in the area between 6pm and 6.30pm, and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam.
