Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash on the main Killarney to Tralee road earlier today.

A car and a van collided at Coolcorcoran just outside Killarney on the N22 around 9:30am.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision.

A passenger in one vehicle, a woman in her 60s, was brought by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The drivers of each vehicle, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 60s, were brought to UHK after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The main Killarney to Tralee road was closed for a technical examination, but has since reopended.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

They’re asking road users who may have dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 9-9:45am today, to make that footage available to gardaí.
