A new air service will be taking flight from North Bay Jack Garland Airport this winter, offering convenient service to Toronto.

The new airline fills a void left by Air Canada, which announced in September of 2025 that it was pulling out of North Bay at the end of January 2026.
The Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, which accommodates up to 18 passengers, will operate regular flights from North Bay to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
To better meet the needs of a wide range of travellers and facilitate connections to international flights,
Propair will also offer a shuttle service between Billy Bishop Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The development of this new air route has been made possible with the support of the North Bay Jack Garland Airport, which is committed to improving regional air connectivity.
Addressing the Needs of Underserved Northern Regions
Propair officials feel the new connection will facilitate travel for professionals, businesses, students, visitors and residents to major economic centres in Quebec and Ontario.
“Northern Quebec and Northern Ontario face significant gaps in air service, and Propair is proud to help improve the situation. Accessibility plays a key role in the economic and cultural development of our communities,” says Justin Lemieux, General Manager of Propair in a release.
Propair believes this new service will strengthen mobility between Toronto and North Bay, while contributing to improved accessibility for northern regions.
“The growing demand for reliable air services, for both business and personal travel, underscores the importance of enhanced connectivity for northern regions,” the Propair release continued.
