DPW Cares: Employees Rally Together to Donate Items for Holiday Food Drive 

As Thanksgiving approached, the season reminded us of the importance of gratitude and giving, especially to our neighbors facing food insecurity across the Greater New Orleans area. In response, the Department of Public Works came together with a goal of collecting at least 100 food items for the Second Harvest Food Drive.

Through the generosity, teamwork, and commitment of DPW staff, the department not only met that goal but exceeded it, collecting 125 food items for families in need. This accomplishment represents more than a number. It reflects the department’s compassion and its dedication to supporting the community it serves every day.

We thank every team member who contributed and helped make this effort a success.
