The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court released to house arrest the Haredi man who received a citation yesterday, which sparked riots in the city during which Haredi protesters clashed with police and overturned a patrol car. Police claimed that the young man “inflamed tensions” and led to serious disturbances that lasted for hours. The court ruled that according to the evidence presented by the police, “there is no indication in the material that connects the respondent to the serious events that occurred.” Three other detainees were released directly to their homes from the police station.
