The wait is over. Young people can now sign up to be members of Preston’s new, multi-million-pound Youth Zone, Vault, ahead of its opening in early 2026.
Vault Youth Zone will offer first-class facilities for young people aged eight to 19, or up to 25 for those with additional needs.
The purpose-built centre will include an indoor climbing wall, music room with built-in recording studio, dance and drama studio, arts and crafts room, sensory room, sports hall, indoor sports pitch, boxing studio and a fully equipped gym, alongside a wide range of activities and support delivered by skilled youth workers.Â
Membership costs £5 per year, with sessions priced at just 50p, ensuring the Youth Zone remains affordable and accessible for families across the city. Young people attending Vault will also be able to access nutritious hot meals for just £1.
To learn more and purchase a membership, visit the Vault Youth Zone – Membership page.
While the full year of membership will only commence following Vault’s grand opening in 2026, signing up now will give members exclusive access to taster sessions early next year. Â
Located in Preston city centre on Tithebarn Street, directly opposite the iconic Preston Bus Station, Vault Youth Zone will be easy to reach for young people from across Preston and the surrounding areas.
Vault Youth Zone aims to create a safe, inclusive and inspiring space where young people can build confidence, develop new skills and reach their full potential.
Tim Jacques, CEO of Vault Youth Zone, said:
Opening membership is a hugely exciting milestone as we move closer to welcoming young people through our doors. Vault will be a place where young people feel safe, sup-ported and inspired, with access to incredible facilities, opportunities and the chance to grow, create, connect, and thrive.”
Vault Youth Zone is an independent charity and continues to seek support for its annual running costs as momentum builds towards opening.
The Youth Zone is part of the national OnSide network, known for high-quality youth facilities across the UK.
