WASHINGTON – Dec. 19, 2025 – The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today released the following statement from President and CEO John Neuffer in support of the recently launched Pax Silica initiative, which will function as the Department of State’s flagship effort on AI and supply chain security.
“The U.S. State Department’s Pax Silica initiative represents a strong and welcome commitment to deepening economic partnerships to secure supply chains critical to semiconductors, AI, and other key technologies. We look forward to working with policymakers in the U.S. and partner governments to advance this timely and important effort.”
