Calgary police have charged a local massage therapist with sexual assault following an investigation into an incident last month.
According to police, the alleged assault occurred on Nov. 20, during an appointment at Massage Addict in the southeast community of Mahogany.
Investigators say the client reported being touched sexually without consent while receiving treatment.
Following an investigation, Dioscoro Tulop, 36, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court in February.
Authorities are reminding the public that there is no statute of limitations for reporting sexual assault in Canada. Anyone who believes they may be a victim is encouraged to come forward, regardless of how much time has passed.
Police are urging anyone with information about this case or similar incidents to call 403‑266‑1234. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
