“It was such an unexpected visit,” she said.
“Museum volunteer Dave Owen and I were sitting near him in a cafe, and Dave went over to offer the professor an introduction to the museum.
“Much to our delight, he agreed!
“He had a good look round the museum, which features some of Lancashire’s most infamous cases including Dr Buck Ruxton’s bath, the Morecambe Bay Cockling Disaster and the June Devaney murder in 1948.”
The museum is a free attraction, open to the public every Thursday and Friday.
