Two Kerry schools have been allocated funding to improve walking and cycling infrastructure.
They’re among 105 primary and secondary schools nationwide to receive funding, under the latest round of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Programme.
It’s part of up to €20 million in funding announced by Transport Minister, Darragh O’Brien.
Presentation Primary School in Listowel and St Joseph’s National School in Castlemaine are the schools in Kerry who’ll benefit.
The announcement has been welcomed by Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly, Children’s Minister and Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, and Deputy Michael Cahill.
