‘FAI have a higher moral ground than the GAA and that’s saying something’ – David Hickey reacts to GAA’s Allianz decision

The former All-Ireland winning Dublin footballer David Hickey has expressed “extreme” disappointment at the recommendation of the GAA’s Ethics and Integrity Committee (EIC) to maintain its sponsorship links with Allianz.

Hickey said he feels that the GAA’s reputation is “damaged” as a consequence of maintaining the sponsorship and suggested the FAI “have a higher moral ground than we have in the GAA and that’s saying something.”
