The Hamilton Police Service is providing an update on a recent shooting investigation and is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying vehicles involved.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 9:55 p.m., police were called to a parking lot located at 160 Main Street West, near Caroline Street South, following reports of gunfire.
Investigators determined that two vehicles entered the parking lot and circled the area. It is believed that one vehicle discharged a firearm at the other before both vehicles fled the scene. Officers located spent bullet casings, and the area was secured for further investigation.
At this time, no injuries have been reported, no damage has been identified, and no victim or intended target has come forward. Detectives are urging the intended target, or anyone with direct knowledge of this incident, to contact police.
Police are seeking to identify two suspect vehicles, described as one SUV and one sedan, which were observed leaving the area following the shooting.
