A fire which resulted in the death of a 72-year-old man in Derby was started accidentally, the fire service has said.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a property in Siskin Drive, Sinfin, by neighbours at 15:44 GMT on Friday.
On arrival, firefighters from Ascot Drive, Ilkeston and Kingsway entered the property but found the man had died.
A spokesperson for the service said fire investigators determined the blaze was most likely started by the man smoking in bed, accelerated by the use of emollient creams.
