A former child showjumping champion who was the victim of statutory rape has spoken out about how she was groomed for years by an older rider who is now serving a prison sentence.
The woman, who is now in her 20s, has complained she received no support from the state funded equestrian body, Horse Sport Ireland (HSI), despite the conviction of Michael Murphy for defilement of a minor.
