Police Scotland later said the Methil fire was not started deliberately

Residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution as black smoke billowed into the sky
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the last appliance left the scene just after 13:00.
A spokesperson said: “Multiple heavy goods vehicles and trailers were affected.”
The SFRS earlier warned of heavy smoke in the area and urged the public to avoid the harbour.
Local residents were also advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.
