Key Health Accord Program for Seniors Renewed

The Opposition Liberals are pleased to see the provincial government extend the Aging Well at Home Grants Program for another year.

Applications open January 5th.

Liberal Leader John Hogan says MHAs had been receiving inquiries questioning whether the program was going to be offered again this year.

The grant, which provides assistance to seniors still living at home, was a key component of the Health Accord says MHA Lisa Dempster.

To qualify, applicants must:

be 65 years or older as of March 31, 2026
be a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador
have an annual household net income of $32,700 or less for single applicants
have an annual household net income of $50,000 or less for couples
own or rent a home

The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.
