A 23-year-old man has been arrested after shots were fired at two buildings in Sheffield – one of which had a child inside.
South Yorkshire Police were called to an address with the child in on Oxford Street at 21:42 GMT on 13 December. They then attended another report of shots at a block of flats in Edward Street at 22:06.
No injuries were reported at either location. The man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent and drugs supply offences.
Det Insp Claire Moss said: “Thankfully, no-one was injured in relation to these incidents, but it could easily have been another tragic occurrence, as we have seen too frequently in South Yorkshire.”
