WASHINGTON (TNND) — Rep. Ro Khanna (R-CA) shared on X that the Department of Justice is expected to release another batch of documents from the Epstein files later Monday afternoon.
The Congressman, who co-sponsored a bill which mandated the full release of the Epstein files, wrote a list of material that he, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and the victims of Jeffrey Epstein expected to see in the latest release of documents, including “The FBI witness interviews which names other men,” emails seized from Epstein’s computer, the 60 count draft indictment against Epstein, and “the 82 page prosecution memo.”
“The DOJ must stop protecting rich & powerful men who were not charged or those who sabotaged the prosecution,” Khanna wrote on X.
Last Friday marked the deadline set by the Epstein Files Transparency Act for the Justice Department to release the remaining files. Although at the time, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that “several hundred thousand” documents would be released and that the remaining documents would be made public “over the next couple of weeks.”
Following the release of the documents on Friday, Khanna and Massie took to X to express their disappointment, sharing they intended to bring “inherent contempt charges” against Attorney General Pam Bondi for failure to comply with the law.
“Unfortunately,@AGPambondi is breaking the law. Epstein survivors aren’t satisfied with the DOJ’s incomplete and redacted Epstein files disclosures, and neither am I,” Massie wrote on X.
“Congress should assert its ability to hold Bondi in “inherent contempt” to get justice for the survivors.”
