Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the death of a man in Kilgarvan.
A man, aged in his 70s, was found unresponsive outside a premises on Church Street in Kilgarvan in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He was taken to hospital, where he was later found dead.
Around 4am yesterday, Gardaí were notified of a man, aged in his 70s, that had been brought to University Hospital Kerry having earlier been found unresponsive in Church Street.
The man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Gardaí say they continue to investigate all of the circumstances following the man’s death.
They say the post-mortem examination has since been completed, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to provide support and information to the deceased man’s family.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.
Anyone, including road users and pedestrians, who were in the Church Street area between midnight and 2:00am is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.

Gardaí says their investigations are ongoing.
