Police are searching for three men after an altercation in Toronto’s Entertainment District sent another man to the hospital with life-altering injuries.

The incident happened overnight on Saturday, at around 3:30 a.m., in the area of Duncan and Pearl streets, north of King Street.

Toronto Police say an adult male victim got into a “verbal altercation” with an unknown male suspect, who then allegedly brandished a knife and attempted to “slash” the victim.

A second suspect allegedly tackled the victim when he tried to run away. The first suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times, police said.

The second suspect and a third suspect then allegedly assaulted the victim, before the whole group fled the area, heading westbound on Pearl.

Police describe the first suspect as five-foot-eight to five-foot-10, and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, a black zip-up “puffer” jacket, distressed blue jeans and grey shoes.

Investigators describe the second suspect, standing either five-foot-10 or six-feet tall, with black braids. They add that he was wearing a black hoodie with a circle ring design, blue jeans and white shoes at the time.

The third suspect is described by police as standing between five-foot-10 and six-feet, with a black “broccoli” hairstyle. Police say he was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a gold or yellow emblem, a black zippered jacket, blue pants, white shoes and a surgical mask.
