“You were a beautiful young man […] I’ll forever miss your happy presence,” read one.
Another read: “Forever 18, forever loved. Taken far too soon. Rest in peace, darling boy.”
A third described the young man as a “special soul” with “so much more life to live”.
Police said the Fiesta may have been travelling in tandem with a white Suzuki Swift SZ3 just prior to the crash on West Lane.
Three 18-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident.
A 40-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assisting an offender. All four have been released on bail.
Evidence of the crash was still visible on Mr Jackson’s driveway.
“It’s a sad event,” he said.
“While we have got some mess to clear up, that’s a secondary issue.”
