A man has died following a road traffic collision in Ennis earlier this month.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision which occurred in the Abbey Street area of Ennis on Monday December 8th at approximately 1pm.

The collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian who was a male in his 80s.

The man was conveyed to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on Monday December 22nd.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, may have camera footage in the Abbey Street area between 12:45pm and 1:15pm, or may have any other information, to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 684 8100.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
