A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck by a car in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Wolverhampton.
A Seat Ibiza collided with another car in Goldthorn Hill, at the junction of Fowler Street, at about 20:40 GMT on Saturday and then struck a woman on the pavement, West Midlands Police said.
The driver left the scene after the collision and the woman, in her 50s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
A 28-year-old man, arrested on Monday, has been questioned on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a collision, the force said.
