Donegal singer Daniel O’Donnell returned to familiar ground on Sunday as he performed a Christmas Gospel Show live from St Mary’s Church in Kincasslagh.
Joined by his band, Daniel offered the proceeds of the night to Scoil Mhuire National School, Belcruit and the local parish.
The church was filled to capacity, with neighbours, friends and visitors gathering to hear a mix of hymns and Christmas songs in a special setting.
Speaking to the audience, Daniel said: “What a privilege this is for me to be here in our own chapel, to get the opportunity to sing these beautiful hymns and Christmas songs and that all of us are gathered.”
He thanked Parish Priest Fr Pat Ward for his support and the Burtonport Variety Group, who accompanied him throughout the evening. Between songs, Daniel shared amusing stories and delighted the crowd in the chapel and the thousands who were watching from around the world on a live stream.
