A DATE has been set for the covers to come off the first Toyota Gen3 Supercar.

After months of speculation culminating in a late August target for an on-track rollout, the Supra will be revealed in all its glory on the night of Monday September 1.

That will come as part of a Sydney event officially launching the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000.

Appointed homologation team Walkinshaw Andretti United has been chipping away at designing, developing and building the ‘Supracar’ ahead of its competition debut next year.

With Brad Jones Racing also committing to the Japanese manufacturer, there will be six Supras on the grid next year.

A full-size clay model of the Supra was brought to the 2024 Great Race, just weeks after Toyota’s top-secret announcement confirming its championship entry.

Work has gone on to ensure the roadgoing version’s bodywork stylisations are maintained upon application to the Gen3 chassis, and to adapt the selected 2UR-GSE V8 engine to Supercars specifications.
