Got it
Out-of-control hoons have turned Welshpool’s industrial area into a drag strip, performing reckless stunts dangerously close to pedestrians, the drivers even targeting a police car.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night, just before midnight, with around 1000 people attending.

Vision of the event, labelled Perth’s first ‘Skidmas’ by organisers, shows cars doing burnt-outs, and donuts just metres from crowds watching on.
Footage also shows a police car being swarmed by the group, with one person ‘surfing’ on the vehicle.
“Cops coming everywhere, people kicking cops cars, people running from cops, a few cars got stolen,” the event organisers, who remained anonymous, told 9 News Perth.
The gathering soon moved to Kenwick where multiple officers were required to shut it down.
Several people were arrested and cars were seized. Two people have since been charged with drink-driving.
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said the events were dangerous.
“We’ve seen serious injuries, particularly in Burswood just this year, so my strong message always to hoons, is this is very dangerous activity,” he said.
But one attendee said the gathering was good for people’s mental health.
“There’s a lot of people out here that are depressed and stuff like that and getting behind a wheel of the car, and just burning tyres and stuff like that, it frees that person within the moment,” he said.
Organisers say they are already planning another event, and are undeterred by the police warnings.
