New parents in Edinburgh are celebrating the birth of their babies on Christmas Day.
Hannah Bowers-Orso, 35, gave birth to her son at 02:00 on Christmas Day, despite her and dad Jack, 31, not expecting his arrival until 14 January.
Weighing in at 6lb 4oz, the boy – who is yet to be named by his parents – was born in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
“It was an extraordinary surprise and it all happened so fast, but happily we were all prepared. We just can’t wait to get to know him,” Ms Bowers-Orso said.
