Following the incident of running over and shooting in the village of Deir Jarir in Ramallah, the IDF spokesperson stated that “an initial investigation shows that this was a reserve soldier who fired while dressed in civilian clothes, severely exceeding his authority. Claims of casualties are being investigated. Shortly thereafter, footage was received of an armed person running over a Palestinian. After investigation, it was determined to be the same reserve soldier.” Additionally, it was reported that “the above incidents are being investigated, and based on the findings, the matter will be transferred to the relevant authorities. The soldier’s weapon was taken by the IDF, and his service was terminated due to the severity of the events.”
