INDIANAPOLIS — Someone in Indiana is waking up Christmas morning $1 million richer!

While a single ticket sold in Arkansas won the $1.817 billion jackpot, eight other tickets across the country won $1 million: California, Indiana, Michigan, New York (two), Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Hoosier Lottery officials have not yet said where the big-winning ticket was sold.

The hefty jackpot prize had been rolling since Sept. 6, when two winners beat odds of 1 in 292.2 million. Final ticket sales for Wednesday, Dec. 24 pushed the jackpot prize to $1.817 billion with a cash option of $834.9 million, making it the second-largest prize in the game’s history.
