A man has been killed and another pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by a car in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
The two men were walking along Barrack Street in Norwich at 01:22 GMT when they were struck.
The driver, a man in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol, Norfolk Police said.
One man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. The second pedestrian was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious, but not life-changing, injuries, according to the force.
