BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Georgia Southern Eagles continued bowl week in Birmingham with another busy schedule on day two of JLab Birmingham Bowl activities.

The day began with the Eagles taking the field for practice from 10:55 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., building on the momentum from day one as preparations continued.

Following practice, the entire team took part in a visit to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute from 1–2:30 p.m., where players and staff had the opportunity to learn about the city’s history and reflect on the impact of the Civil Rights Movement.

During the Civil Rights Institute tour, the Bowl and ESPN Events also hosted a family event for the coaches and administrators’ families of each school to experience the McWane Science Center.

Following some downtime at the hotel, the Eagles closed the night with a team bowling challenge against App State at Vestavia Bowl Family & Fun Center, where App State came out on top. The night featured bowling and barbecue, with the team enjoying the famous Dreamland BBQ while competing in a friendly rivalry matchup to wrap up the day.

Remaining in Birmingham, Georgia Southern will continue bowl preparations leading up to the JLab Birmingham Bowl on Monday, Dec. 29, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. ET.
