The family of Robert Glendon Gordon are
announcing his passing on December 28, 2025, at Orchard View Long Term
Care Home in Gagetown, NB. Robert, who was 89 years of age, was born
in Upper Gagetown, NB, on June 19, 1936, to his parents, the late
Clarence and Myrtle (Boone) Gordon. He was the loving husband of the
late Jennie (Harris) Gordon.
Robert is survived by daughter, Heather Corkum
(George) of Berwick, NS; son, Allison (Tammy) of Upper Gagetown, NB,
daughter-in-law, Debbie Gordon of Swan Creek, NB; granddaughters,
Tanya (Ryan), Tasha (Scott) and Misty-Dawn (Jon);
great-granddaughters, Summer and Autumn; great-grandsons, Hunter,
Austin Harris, Carter and Brady; brothers, Lloyd (Betty Lou) of
Florida and Emmerson (Nancy) of Saint John, NB; sister, Muriel Scott
(late Orville) of Fredericton, NB; many nieces and nephews and loyal
friend Wayne
Corbett.
In addition to his wife and parents, Robert is
predeceased by his daughter, Glenda Gordon; his son, Kenneth; his
sisters, Dorothy Silver (late Mylon) and Shirley Gordon
(infant).
Robert was a carpenter by trade. For
many years he was foreman of crews that build many buildings and
infrastructure around New Brunswick. Robert and Jennie had
many adventures together before her passing. They were both
very active in the community and Robert continued on that tradition
after her passing. Robert was a charter member of the River
Road Lions Club (Upper Gagetown). Prior to moving to Orchard
View he was an institution at the community breakfasts. In
the 1990s and early 2000s he was an integral part of the dining room
crew at the Queens County Fair grounds. Robert was a
magnificent cook. His pleasure was cooking and baking for
his family, friends and community members. His chocolate
cake was known to be a hit at the community fundraising
auctions. Robert was an avid hunter, his last deer that he
“bagged” was a year previous to moving to Orchard
View. The night before duck hunting he would always make a
huge meal for all the duck camp hunters – his brothers, sons, great
grandsons, nephews and great nephews. Feeding people and visiting with
family and friends meant the most to
Robert.
Visitation will be held on December 31, 2025, at
Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 540 Woodstock Road,
