A man has pleaded guilty to a string of offences after a car smashed into the front of a soon-to-be-opened bakery.

The crash into the front of Baked Bean in Ironbridge, Shropshire, happened early on Monday morning.

Anthony Barret, 49, of High Street in Ironbridge, admitted dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen, driving with no insurance and criminal damage to a building.

The building on the corner of Madeley Road and Waterloo Street, formerly known as EightySix’D, is currently being fitted out for the new venture by chef Adam Purnell.
