Detectives have released an image of a car that is the same make and model as the one involved in the collision.
Officers hope it jogs people’s memory as they appeal for more information.
Det Sgt Matt Davidson said: “Inquiries into the collision are ongoing and although two people have been arrested, we are continuing to ask for information and footage that could assist us investigate this tragic incident.
“We are particularly interested in footage of the Hyundai before and after the collision.
“We know this vehicle was sighted in Scale Hall prior to the collision and are appealing for your help.”
He urged anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of Ovangle Road, or anywhere on Scale Hall between 14:00 and 14:30 GMT on 16 December to call 101 or email SCIU@lancashire.police.uk and quote log 743 of 16 December 2025.
