Two masked men threatened a woman with a knife as they stole her purse and phone during a robbery in Leeds.

The incident took place on Spen Lane in West Park at about 22:30 GMT on Tuesday after the victim, a woman in her 50s, had pulled onto a driveway in her car, West Yorkshire Police said.

The woman was uninjured but left “very shaken”, according to Det Insp Victoria Vessey, who appealed to witnesses to get in touch.

The suspects were said to have fled with the victim’s property before meeting with a third man and making off onto Luttrell Place. Officers traced their movements to a nearby Texaco petrol station and later recovered the victim’s phone.
