Lake effect snow squalls possible.

What:

Total local snowfall accumulations of 15 to 30 cm.

Reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

When:

Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning.

Additional information:

Lake effect snow off of Lake Superior is expected to move into the area by early Thursday morning. The lake effect snow could intensify into snow squalls late Thursday afternoon or Thursday evening as winds shift more westerly. The highest snowfall amounts are expected over the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Road closures are possible.

Prepare for the possibility of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
