A road over a canal bridge has been closed due to damage to a section of the waterway.
The Canal and River Trust said on New Year’s Day that Cannock Road, in Penkridge, Staffordshire, was closed as a precaution.
The road travels over Penkridge bridge and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.
The trust said a channel that takes excess canal water around Lock 38 had suffered some damage along its culverted route below Cannock Road.
