Building partially collapses after large Leicester shop fire

A building has partially collapsed after a large fire in a shop in Leicester.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a commercial property in Marjorie Street at about 09:25 GMT on Friday.

A spokesperson said the fire began on the ground floor, with the building currently unsafe to enter.

Though the floor above the shop contained residential flats, the service said all persons in the property were accounted for.
