A dispersal order has been put in place in part of Chesterfield town centre after police were called to numerous anti-social behaviour incidents involving teenagers.

Derbyshire Police said it was called to multiple incidents throughout Saturday.

It said “as a result” of the teenagers’ behaviour, the force had put in a dispersal order covering Low Pavement and the surrounding streets from 17:00 on Saturday to 17:00 GMT on Monday.

Police said this meant officers had the power to ask a group of two or more people to leave the area covered by the dispersal order, if they were committing anti-social behaviour or if police believed they may cause a nuisance to someone else.
