A 50-year-old man from Lanark County is dead after a snowmobile collision early Saturday morning just east of Franktown, Ont., provincial police say.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Lanark County detachment responded to the crash near Brunton Sideroad at roughly 4:30 a.m., according to a statement from the OPP.

The man had suffered serious injuries after his snowmobile crashed into a parked trailer on private property, police said.

He was found by a member of the property owner’s family, OPP said, who began life-saving measures until emergency responders arrived.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No further details on the victim or the crash were provided.
