Peel police are investigating two separate arsons that took place Sunday overnight in Brampton and Mississauga, Ont.
In an email to CBC Toronto Sunday, Peel Regional Police said officers responded to a fire call at a residence in the area of Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue W. at around 12:30 a.m.
Peel police said there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Mississauga Fire told CBC Toronto they received the call from a neighbour who saw flames from the exterior of a house.Â
Firefighters extinguished the fire and the occupants were safely evacuated from the home, Mississauga Fire added.
In a separate email, Peel police told CBC Toronto officers responded to a vehicle fire in the area of Queen Street East and Rutherford Road at approximately 1:30 a.m.
The vehicle was unoccupied and there were no injuries, Peel police said.Â
Both incidents are being investigated as arson, but Peel police said they are not believed to be connected at this time.
